SCANDICCI, October 2, 2025 – GEST informs that tomorrow, October 3, 2025, tram lines T1 and T2 may experience delays, slowdowns, or cancellations due to a 24-hour general strike affecting all public and private sectors. The strike has been called by FILT CGIL, USB (Unione Sindacale di Base), and COBAS del Lavoro Privato.

Service will be guaranteed during the following time slots: 6:30 AM to 9:30 AM and 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM.

The strike will involve both operating staff and office employees.

The strike has been called to protest the Israeli response and the inaction of European governments. It aims to show support for the Flotilla, highlight the seriousness of the armed aggression on October 1, 2025, reaffirm the principles of the Italian Constitution and respect for international law, denounce violations by Israel, and advocate for the protection of Italian workers and volunteers.

Participation in previous strikes called by the same unions reached 19% of the workforce.
