One Two FREE project: GEST and Artemisia together against harassment on board public transport

‘One Two Free – Together for the right to travel without harassment’ is the title of the practical guide with useful advice and information on how to react if you are a victim or witness to harassment or assault.
The campaign, disseminated on posters at tram stops and in trams, is promoted by Artemisia and GEST S.p.A. with the patronage of the Municipality of Florence and the Municipality of Scandicci and with the graphic contribution of the students of the International School of Comics, to promote women’s freedom of mobility, and not to allow harassment and sexual aggression to pass unnoticed.
The guide compiled by Artemisia, accessible through QR codes on posters at bus stops and on tram platforms, contains the ‘One Two FREE’ method, which provides clear indications on how to intervene or escape from harassment with caution and the right awareness to handle the situation.
The illustrations on the posters at the tram stops and on the pendants in trams were produced during the Illustration Marathon 2024 of the Scuola di Comics in Florence, which focused on the theme of the project.
The three winners out of 75 artists who participated in the competition last September at the Biblioteca Comunale di Scandicci, won a scholarship for one of the school’s courses.

The partners involved are Richmond (Cloè), Savino del Bene Volleyball, Red Star Volleyball, Illustration Marathon, Tuscan Regional Student Parliament, Udu – Florence.

FLORENCE BY TRAM

Trame d’arte is a project aimed at promoting lesser known but fascinating aspects of Florence through the various tramline stops connecting the heart of the city to its outlying areas in order to showcase the more contemporary, often overlooked, side of the city which is increasingly coming to characterize it.

Through the new www.tramedartefirenze.it site, it is possible to discover Florence beyond its historical center and overexposed tourist circuits by setting off from tramline stops to reach over 200 attractions, divided into 5 categories. Navigating the site by category or by tramline stop allows you to discover every geo-localized place, with photos, descriptions, and related practical information.

This project was created and directed by Caterina Paolucci and Olivia Turchi for Associazione Via Maggio and carried out by Gruppo Editoriale in collaboration with GEST S.p.A., with the contribution of the Tourist Department of the City of Florence and the CR Firenze Foundation.

AILove RUNNING

GEST supports AIL Firenze by incentivising and supporting employee participation and registration in AILoveRUNNING, a non-competitive solidarity run/walk that supports a specific scientific/charity project every year.
