Service changes for buses and tramway
Nine bus routes diverted from 14 to 23 August
FLORENCE, 6 August 2026 – at-autolinee toscane and GEST inform passengers that, due to pavement reconstruction works in Piazza San Marco, changes will affect both bus and tram services. The works are scheduled to begin on 14 August and are expected to be completed by 23 August 2026.
BUS SERVICES
From 14 to 23 August, the following bus routes will be subject to diversions and service changes:
6, 14, 17, 18, 23, 31, 32, 60 and C1

TRAMWAY
On 19 and 20 August, T2 services will operate only between Peretola Airport and Poliziano, in both directions.
During these two days, a replacement bus service will run between San Marco and Poliziano.

- Temporary stop in Via La Pira, between Piazza San Marco and Via della Dogana
- LA MARMORA T2, Via La Marmora between Via Venezia and Via Modena
- LIBERTÀ PIER CAPPONI, Piazza della Libertà between Viale Matteotti and Via Pier Capponi
- LANDINO, Via Landino between Viale Lavagnini and Via Lorenzo Il Magnifico
- POLIZIANO, Via Poliziano between Viale Milton and Via Lorenzo Il Magnifico
From Poliziano towards San Marco
Stops:
- POLIZIANO, Via Poliziano between Viale Milton and Via Lorenzo Il Magnifico
- LIBERTÀ CAVOUR, Piazza della Libertà between Viale Lavagnini and Via San Gallo
- CAVOUR T2, Via Cavour between Piazza della Libertà and Via Sant’Anna, adjacent to the tram stop
- Temporary stop in Via La Pira, between Piazza San Marco and Via della Dogana
Any changes to the planned works schedule, and consequently to the service arrangements, will be communicated in advance through the appropriate official channels.

From 14 to 23 August, the following routes will operate with temporary diversions:
Route 6
- Diversions in both directions.
- LIBERTÀ CAVOUR stop remains available.
- MATTONAIA stop suspended in the affected direction.
- All existing stops on diverted sections will be served where indicated.
Routes 14 and 18
- Diversions apply in both directions.
- SAN MARCO PIAZZA stop suspended.
- Temporary stop available in Via La Pira where specified.
- All stops along diverted routes will be served unless otherwise indicated.
Route 17
- Diversions apply in both directions.
- All existing stops on diverted routes will be served.
Route 23
- Diversions apply in both directions.
- SAN MARCO PIAZZA stop suspended.
- Temporary stop in Via La Pira where specified.
- All stops along diverted routes will be served unless otherwise indicated.
Routes 31, 32 and 60
- Diversions apply in both directions.
- LIBERTÀ CAVOUR stop remains available.
- Temporary use of the extra-urban stop in Piazza Isidoro del Lungo.
- MATTONAIA stop suspended in the affected direction.
Route C1
- Direction Santa Maria Soprarno / Piazza della Calza: diverted route.
- Direction Parterre: regular route.
- SAN MARCO PIAZZA stop suspended.
- Temporary stop available in Via La Pira.
