Vasco Rossi, Firenze Rocks, and Pinguini Tattici Nucleari: Enhanced Tram Service in Operation

May 22, 2025

Scandicci, May 22, 2025 – With the arrival of the warm season, concerts return to the Visarno Hippodrome in the Cascine Park of Florence. These events will bring thousands of spectators to the city. Florence’s tramway system is preparing for a record influx of passengers and will extend the service of Lines T1 and T2 until 2 a.m. for the following scheduled events: Vasco Rossi (June 5 and 6), Firenze Rocks (June 12, 13, and 15), and Pinguini Tattici Nucleari (June 25).

To facilitate the exit of spectators after the concerts, more frequent tram runs are planned during peak hours. The tramway will operate until 2 a.m., a schedule usually reserved for Fridays and Saturdays, with a frequency of about every 6 minutes depending on demand. To ease the flow of spectators, service will also be extended on the evenings of June 5, 12, 15, and 25 (which fall on Thursday, Sunday, and Wednesday).

Tickets can be purchased using the contactless “Tip Tap” system on board for single rides, through digital channels, via the “at bus” app, on the portal shop.at-bus.it, through the Tabnet app, via SMS, at official “at” ticket offices, at ticket machines at tram stops, and at authorized retailers. Paper tickets must be validated immediately upon boarding.

If you arrive via Line T2, you can get off at the San Donato (University) stop. From there, it’s about a 20-minute walk to the Visarno Arena.

If you arrive via Line T1, you can get off at the Cascine (Carlo Monni) stop, which is close to the Visarno Arena.
